This hand block-printed checkerboard design was inspired by Caroline's Grandmother's kitchen, a very special place that was happily trapped in the 50s with olive green metal cabinets mixed with tiled checkerboard countertops. This interior has long been in the background memories of many Holiday gatherings and cousin fun with an exquisite lady called Mama Dia.
While we typically block print with our own printers in New Bedford, Massachusetts, this is our first foray into block printing in India, the historical birthplace of wood block printing itself. We incorporated Caroline's original hand carved initials for this limited edition collection.

Linen - we suggest wash cold and hang dry but if you like your linen a little more worn-in, throw it in the dryer on low heat - it will get cozy and soft real quick.
