About

Who we are

Caroline Hurley is a Brooklyn-based textile designer and painter. Her design process has always been rooted in her art practice, utilizing gestural markings, simple abstractions, and thoughtful use of negative space to create intuitive works that are translated onto the landscapes of textiles and objects.

From the very beginning, Caroline’s philosophy has been rooted in the belief that a grounded home space can allow for more freedom and movement in the outside world, and that surrounding oneself with products that are beautifully made with intention and care cultivates an energy of calm and connection in the larger landscape of one’s life. In other words, it is only when rooted that we can truly grow.

What We Make

When it comes to deciding how an idea translates into design, we’ve always followed our creative curiosity, gravitating toward new processes and people that can help bring our visions to life. We’ve made rugs with weavers in Teotitlan, tablecloths and napkins in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, wool rugs in Aycucho, Peru and collaborated with incredible brands to create limited edition products. We’ve learned so much about how to make things — and how to trust our own creative process — along the way.

Most recently, we’ve followed our intuition once more and pivoted our focus to fabric by the yard. It is when designing fabric that Caroline feels the most creative and free, and when our production team can best utilize their unique skill set. We love how inspiration for a pattern can come from anywhere and everywhere, and we love seeing those patterns find their place in people’s spaces and lives. The possibilities are infinite, and the process never fails to excite us. Learn More About Our Process
